Comment: There is no doubt that the Heart Sutra is the most frequently used and recited text in the entire Mahayana Buddhist tradition. It is the first teaching given by Lord Buddha as He initiated the second turn of the Wheel of Dharma in Rajghir. It addresses the emptiness or Shunyata of both, self and phenomena. Prajñāpāramitā refers to the perfected way of seeing the nature of reality as the "Great Mother", i.e. : the emptiness that is inseparable from the clarity aspect of the phenomenal matrix.
